Next up on King Kooba's Dum Rok imprint comes 'L.O.V.E.Y.O.U.', the first single off Flash's forthcoming LP.
Kooba first met Flash (aka Simone Gordon) 12 years ago at a studio in Bermondsey in South London, during the mixdown of the Colossus LP, 'West Oaktown'. As Kooba was finishing a session, Flash came in to start hers, and decided to get in the booth and ad-lib on the track that was still up on the board.
From that point on, King Kooba & Flash begin to collaborate, and over the period of a year finished the Colossus album and co-wrote loads of material together and on their own.
After a 3 month wunderlust spent in South America, King Kooba returned with a $25 acoustic guitar bought in La Paz Bolivia that was left on a Venezuelan beach in a rainstorm, and dropped off the roof of a Columbian charter bus.
'L.O.V.E.Y.O.U.' was the first track made by Flash & Kooba with that guitar.
Featuring three brand new mixes from King Kooba, along with a remix from Mike Frugaletti & The Jazzual Suspects.
